PHL hosts ACWC Consultation to address violence against women and children E-mail

The Philippine Government will host the Association of Southeast Asian Nations Commission on the Promotion and Protection of the Rights of Women and Children (ACWC) Consultation with UN experts on Violence Against Women (VAW) and the Special Representative to the UN Secretary General on Violence Against Children (SRSG-VAC) on January 16-17, 2012. The consultation aims to provide a venue for ACWC representatives to deepen their understanding of the different forms, roots, and consequences of violence against women and children (VAWC).

Synchronized blowing of whistles to Culminate 2011 Anti-VAW Campaign E-mail

A synchronized blowing of the whistle in various government offices will culminate the 2011 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women (VAW) on December 12. The "Blow the Whistle on VAW" activity will be part of the offices' flag raising ceremonies at 8 a.m.
