14 May 2009, MANILA - Women's issues and advocacies will now be heard on-air as the National Commission on the Role of Filipino Women (NCRFW), the government's machinery for women's advancement partners with the Bureau of Broadcast Services (BBS) for a twice a month radio program on women's concerns.

17 April 2009, MANILA -- The National Commission on the Role of Filipino Women has recently unveiled the PhilGAD Portal which aims to be the country's electronic gateway to Gender and Development.
The PhilGAD Portal, which can be browsed through http://www.ncrfw.gov.ph was conceptualized to become the NCRFW's online knowledge base for information on GAD activities and Filipino women's status in the Philippines. The initiative is supported by the Canadian International Development Agency-Gender Responsive Economic Actions for the Transformation of Women Project (CIDA-GREAT Women Project).

15 April 2009, MANILA -The National Commission on the Role of Filipino Women (NCRFW) has announced that it will continue to accept nominations for its two anti-violence against women (VAW) awards.
The awards aim to strengthen the awareness of public officials in handling cases involving women's rights and give merit to those who create positive impact by involving women and men in transforming their lives and the societal structures.
More than 5,000 participants from government agencies, non government organizations, private sector and civil society gathered to celebrate the biggest women's summit dubbed as "Go Negosyo: Babae, Yaman Ka ng Bayan!" on March 2, 2009 at the World Trade Center in Pasay City. The Summit is one highlight of the Women's Month Celebration.
