Policy Development, Monitoring and Evaluation Division- International Affairs Section (PDPMED-IAS)

Job Summary: 

1. Reviews, provides inputs and comments on international and regional documents (APEC, UN, ASEAN) forwarded to PDPMED for action;
2. Network and liaise with the APEC economies, UN and ASEAN member states’ respective secretariats on the implementation and fulfillment of the UN conventions and resolutions, ASEAN declarations, international agreements and other related commitments;
3. Monitors and tracks the progress of Philippine-sponsored projects under the ASEAN Committee on Women (ACW) and ASEAN Commission on the Promotion and Protection of the Rights of Women and Children (ACWC) Work Plans;
4. Provides technical and administrative assistance to the ACW Focal Point and Philippine Women’s Rights Representative to the ACWC;
5. Researches and prepares presentation reports, briefs and inputs to APEC, UN and ASEAN country papers and project proposals;
6. Prepares communications, position/concept papers, country reports and/or statements, and ministerial statements/speeches related to the Philippine international commitments and engagements, if required, in coordination with the PCW divisions and concerned agencies and CSOs;
7. Provide inputs/comments and prepare reports on UN documents, resolutions and other international instruments in coordination with the PCW divisions and concerned government agencies;
8. Document meetings and other major activities coordinated/led by the International Affairs Section;
9. Attends/participates in meetings related to international commitments and provides feedback/ submits highlights of these meetings for action by the Chief GAD Specialist, Executive Director, Commissioners, and the Chairperson; and
10. Performs other tasks as may be assigned by the Chief GAD Specialist, Executive Director or the assigned supervisor from time to time.


- Bachelor’s degree relevant to the job preferably in any of the following areas: Gender/Women and Development; International Studies, Business Administration; Public Administration/Management; Development Studies, Social Sciences and other allied courses

The PCW will pay a daily service fee of TWO THOUSAND SEVENTY-SEVEN PESOS AND THIRTY-SIX CENTAVOS (Php 2,077.36) daily, subject to applicable withholding tax.
