Job Summary: 

Under the direct supervision of the Team Leader, the Planning Officer II shall provide technical and administrative support related to the implementation of the IACVAWC work plan and other activities. Specifically, he/she shall perform the following functions:

  1. Assist in the provision of technical assistance in cascading the implementation of IACVAWC Strategic Plan in the regions through the RIACAT-VAWC and other local mechanisms;
  2. Assist in monitoring the implementation of strategic plan and prepare corresponding report of assigned agencies;
  3. Assist in the conduct of the national mapping of VAWC services;
  4. Assist in the development and preparation of technical assistance materials such as guidelines, briefing materials, and resource kits;
  5. Serve as documenter and administrative support in major IACVAWC activities;
  6. Prepare concept papers and activity proposals;
  7. Participate in the planning and assessment of IACVAWC activities;
  8. Participate in meetings, learning sessions and capacity development activities of partners and those organized by the IACVAWC and PCW relevant to the conduct of above-mentioned functions;
  9. Prepare and submit monthly work plans and accomplishment reports including required attachments, and other required liquidation and monitoring and assessment reports in due time; and
  10. Perform other related work that may be assigned and agreed upon from time to time with the Team Leader.


Bachelor’s degree, preferably in any of the following social science-related courses: Sociology, Psychology, Community Development/Social Work, Women in Development, and other allied fields;
At least one (1) year of professional experience in any of the following: development planning, monitoring and evaluation, project implementation, and other related experience;
Preferably with experience in mainstreaming gender and development (GAD) and familiarity with GAD-related issues, particularly violence against women and other forms of gender-based violence;
With excellent writing and oral communication skills;
With experience in coordination and networking with project partners and stakeholders;
At least 24 hours of relevant training;
Knowledge and understanding of government planning process is an advantage;
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work on tight deadlines and handle multiple tasks; and
With tact and good rapport with people.


The Planning Officer II shall be paid a professional fee of One Thousand Three Hundred Seventy-Eight Pesos and Twenty Five Centavos (P 1,378.25) daily, subject to applicable mandatory government taxes.
